I revolutionised the look and feel of the HotStock app, allowing users to easily see their favourited products and encouraging more users to take advantage of the HotStock Premium offer.
CREDIT WHERE IT'S DUE
As a user of the HotStock app myself, I admired the concept. The ability to get notifications as soon as your favourite gadgets were in stock and be directed to the retailer's online store is a dream come true in a world where the production of many products has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, I did feel as though the app needed a fresh face. Something that was both, appealing to the eye and highlighted the best features of the app for users.
Adding a navigation bar at the bottom, where users could easily access their favourite products.
Increasing the size and weight of the text used to make it more readable and establish a hierarchy.
Filling unnecessary, distracting white space with images or shapes.
